Narcissus flower: Characteristics
The narcissus flower has as a physical characteristic the elongated and intense green leaves. Vigorous and rustic, the plant usually blooms in winter and spring.
The outer part of the flower has six or more petals, while the inner part is shaped like a “funnel” or a “trumpet”.
There is a lot of diversity in the colors of the narcissus flower, with the most common being white, yellow and cream-colored.
It is possible to find the narcissus growing both individually and in groups of flowers: each stalk can boast from 1 to 20 flowers. The height of the plant can reach from 15 to 50 cm.
Unfortunately, the duration of its flowering is short: only 20 days!
The indication of the use of daffodils is valid both for cuts and arrangements, as well as for planting in vases and as decoration in gardens.

How to care for a Narcissus flower?
Daffodils are indoor and outdoor flowers. In both cases, their care is very similar and simple. If you want to have a daffodil that is in good health, the recipe is very easy and simple: a warm environment and a good amount of sunlight. Make sure that the soil is always moist and, if possible, give it a plus of life with special nutrients for the substrate.
The quality of the daffodil, which is born from a bulb, is that if we have the patience to care for these flowers during the cold times of the year, picking and cultivating their new bulbs again, we will have daffodils in bloom year after year.
After flowering, we must wait for the flowers to dry completely. Then we dig up the bulb, to store it in a dry and cool place, for example wrapped in paper, until the beginning of winter, since about 5 or 6 months before its next flowering, we will have to plant it in a new soil.
To make this process a complete success, it is best to dip the bulb in water and bury it in a wide, shallow pot, adding a layer of phosphorous and adding plenty of water to the soil.
As always, it is important to keep the soil moist without puddles, that the plant has sun but also hours of shade and finally that the water never touches its petals, as it could rot them
